This comprehensive resource contains an easy-to-use pull-out checklist and report form for faculty members.  Detailed sections describe everything from medical attention to reporting options for victims.  Readers are walked step by step through the process of helping a victim of rape or sexual assault.  A section on working with someone accused of sexual assault is included as well.  The content will not conflict with individual schools’ policies, but rather offers a detailed, user-friendly resource.  Additional sections on educational strategies, date rape drugs, and national resources and websites are included.  Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Rape Kits, the Sexual Assault Victims’ Bill of Rights and other critical topics are elucidated.  Readers will become “option providers,” able to make a victim of rape feel understood, supported and empowered.
