Film Length: 30 minutes
This film dramatizes Katie Koestner’s experience with date rape at age 18 during her first month of college. The story’s compelling look at a real life date rape case impacts viewers with the difficult realities of a crime few ever speak about. The viewer is drawn into the events of that night and placed in Katie’s shoes as she goes out to dinner with a fellow college student and then later goes back to her own dormitory with him. Katie herself appears at the end of the film in person to empower viewers to take a stand against sexual violence. The film explores many rape myths and stereotypes with its content, and engages the audience with its powerful story. A study guide is included.
