We challenge your peer educators to go beyond raising awareness to changing community culture. We review peer education efforts from schools across the country and draw comparisons to your own efforts. Evaluations of poster campaigns, dramatizations, mock trials, The Clothesline Project, Take Back the Night, and other passive and active programming strategies takes place. We even examine successful approaches with traditionally “hard to reach” groups such as men.
With an emphasis on problem solving and brainstorming, we facilitate discussion revolving around the accomplishments and disappointments of your group's current strategies. Finally, participants take part in a closing exercise designed to reinforce what they have just learned by analyzing case studies.
