With over 10 years of experience working in higher education, Stephanie Greiner, has not only witnessed how sexual assault impacts our campuses but has experienced it first hand. Her program, "Just Trust Me," has audiences across the country inspired and informed.
In the summer of 1997 during her sophomore year of college, Stephanie was sexually assaulted while she was under the influence of alcohol by someone with whom she worked. In the weeks following the attack, she questioned her judgment, whether it was really sexual assault, and how she was going to get past the experience. Since then, Stephanie has been dedicated to researching and presenting on the topic of sexual assault, especially sexual assault peer education, in hopes that she can have her voice heard and help students make healthy decisions about alcohol use and relationship issues.
Holding a Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Stephanie has worked in the areas of First Year Experience, Residential Life, and Admissions at St. Louis University and William Woods University. Stephanie has presented for the American College Personnel Association National Conference, the Great Lakes Association of Housing and Residence Life Conference, Georgetown University, and a myriad of other college-related events. Her experience spans across both public and private institutions, including Catholic universities.
Stephanie has shared her experience, education, and research findings at new student orientations, residence life trainings as well as at national and regional conferences. She is currently the Project Director for LOL, the innovative First Year Experience Online Program by Campus Outreach Services. In sharing her personal story, her goal is to empower both men and women on campuses to continue to educate themselves and each other.
